We can provide training your volunteers will look forward to with hands on sessions and meaningful training they can use now or in the future. We can offer Wilderness First Aid training which prepares volunteers for a hike in the woods or responding to a disaster that may leave them operating on their own. Whatever your MRC needs are, we can work with you to meet those needs.
The FCC currently has rules in place which require all holders of Part 90 FCC licenses in the VHF and UHF bandwidths to be operating on channels with a bandwidth of 12.5 kHz or less. The majority of radios in the UHF and VHF bandwidth, in use today, are operating on a bandwidth of 25 kHz. This requires modification of radio licenses, evaluation of equipment for comparability, and replacing or reprogramming all the radios used by your institution. Failure to comply can result in fines as much as $10,000 each day.
Medical Horizons Consulting can offer your hospital or organization a on-site evaluation of your radio systems and help you develop a narrowbanding plan for meeting the FCC deadline. Medical Horizons Consulting, LLC is not a radio service, you must work with your radio service to schedule the actual reprogramming of your radios. Contact us for more information.
Whether you are an Emergency Management Agency trying to get an approved Tactical Interoperable Communications Plan (TICP) completed, working to gather all of the radio system, equipment and frequency data collected, or struggling with the entry of all the collected data into CASM; or you are a department upgrading your communications equipment in an effort to be more interoperable; we can help you. We have experience in bringing together the key players, gathering the information and writing a plan. We can also help you exercise your plan as the final step in meeting grant requirements. Medical Horizons Consulting will bring the right team to your project to ensure timely and accurate completion.
